Hi there Red. I set the oil pan back with 2 bolts just to keep the dust out.
I pulled the pan to inspect the bearings, then had to order them and the seals.
I knew it would take a while for the parts and I like to sit in the garage, smoke and listen to tunes, sometimes with the door up. BTW cigarettes

Oh, alright. I knew there must have been something to it. Interestingly enough, I quit smoking at the beginning of this year. People ask all of the time, "Do you ever crave one anymore?" My answer is always the same. Only when I work on cars. It's as if no job is ever complete without a cigarette. I don't exactly know how to explain it.

good job on quitting Red. I got the bearings in and got the girdle and pan washed and its all up in place for tonight. Not torqued and crushed yet but im burnt so TV and a drink for the rest of tonight. ILL post some pics and some key points later.

Not much sealer was used on the girdle. I was surprised



I just backed the strap off a click or two and removed the bearings
