Good that you are open to input.

Thanks for your comments...but if as you say the "ball was dropped"...it only takes a few clicks to reopen a closed thread...and show that this judgement that "wasn't the best" was made in good faith and nothing more.
BTW, thanks for all the tireless and typically thankless work you do here, I still remember what it was like when I was a Super Mod on a large forum with 250,000+ active members (forum went from 0 to 150,000 plus members in the first year I was there)...the "back room" was always a buzz....and in one night alone I had to P Ban 15+ people...had to regularly defend against large scale organized attacks, and of course all the typical Forum stuff and "personalty conflicts"....what fun..GRRRRRRR...LOL
Cheers,
Dave
Thank you for the kind words. As for now, I assume the thread will remain locked. I didn't mean what I wrote in my prior post to be read as an admission of wrong doing on behalf of the moderators. I do feel there may have been a rushed judgment nevertheless. We dropped the ball, in my view, by not working collectively. That said, it would be hypocritical of me to unilaterally decide to reopen the thread.
If it meant enough to Andrew that we take a second look into it then he should notify either myself or one of the other mods.

If I see an issue on the board I will deal with it because that is my job here. Same as Eric on RL
I try to deal with everything fair as each mod does.
I do not expect Austin to ask me if he can delete a post or move or correct something, I know he will do what is right.
I also expect the same.
I closed the thread after I had already warned Stan about it getting personal
So when 2 people who I repect ( Roger and Stan) get into it, as a friend I stepped in.
I am sorry Andrew that this happened in your thread but you could have just started a new one.
Anyway, it is back open.

Thank you, Malcolm. Brad, I know this stuff is tough to deal with from our prospective. That's why I feel it is best for us to work in unison when it comes to more serious matters such as closing threads or banning members, or anything of that nature. Any move we make right now WILL be scrutinized! I felt initially that these topics should not have been continued once voting begun. When it was decided that they would be allowed, I knew it would be only a matter of time before the dialogue was ratcheted up. I have, to this point, not seen anything I would consider a personal attack, and therefore, have not acted. I have made clear where I stand on the issues, but I will not let that interfere with my duty as a mod. I know you feel the same. I hope you didn't misunderstand me. I feel you're a great asset to these forums and a capable moderator. Thank you for all that you do, and most importantly, maybe we can learn something from all of this.

As far as I can see, you're posting so much in these threads (and on Rennlist) because you care deeply about the future of the OC and for that, as a 928 owner, I'm grateful.
Heck, you actually have me seriously considering paying money for the first time in years, despite the negativity and cronyism I see in others' posts.
