You can be a mechanic or technician...The choice is in HOW you fix it, not THAT you fix it.

OK...back at it again with a vengeance...and guess what...we're winning the war...
It's taken quite a few years just to get to this point and she is NOWHERE near ready to get on the road, but it is idling by its self and I don't think it's running burn your eyes out rich anymore...but as anything there are still hurdles...found out that my injectors have decided to just dump all the fuel through them and not really act like injectors. Engine off and low pressure residual in the lines to the injectors, pulled the spider legs and there's nothing but fuel in there...didn't think it was normal...ahh well...keep on keeping on...still hoping to attach some pictures and more updates soon.

so...I'm an idiot...apparently you need a good return flow to the tank. I inadvertently crushed the return line a little bit when I put the tank back in...I feel stupid...anyway, got a decent base line for air/fuel and I now get some throttle response. It's running rough, but I got to move it around the yard for the first time since I've had the car...I appreciate all the help along the way.

Since I still can't get to the 3000 rpm mark, I was wondering if anyone has done base timing at idle. I was checking some stuff out and wanted to confirm timing as I have some extremely rough idle issues still. Like I said, it will now "run" but it's no kitten. I have to piece my cis kit back together and recheck the pressures too...it will get up to approx 2400 rpm and steadily die off until either I let off the throttle or it kills the car

Any possibility that the exhaust is partially plugged? Does it sound normal?
Have you checked for fuel flow (delivery volume) since the earlier work?
