Ebay Steal?!?! You decide.

Picked up this complete engine off Ebay for a whopping $200.01. I plan on picking it up next weekend. It MIGHT cost me a $100 in fuel...

My plan with this engine is to swap it with the one currently sitting in my car while I make all the repairs and complete all the preventive maintenance tasks I want to do on it. Of course, the engine will, in fact, have to be in good condition as described for this to work as planned. $200 is just too cheap to pass on in any case. Stan suggested picking another engine up a while back. Seeming like a better idea all the time.

Here is a shot I snapped of my $200 4.7L SOHC 928 engine as it sat in the bed of the truck at the gas station. Looks remarkably clean and well maintained. It even has new injectors. Man, I got lucky. Planning on putting it in this upcoming weekend.

I know it. I've got a good feeling about it. But hey, for $200, I'll be happy with anything short of a thrown rod or cracked block. I'm not that worried about it. I just don't like going so long without driving the car. I figured going this route would buy me some time to rebuild the original engine the right way.
