Now the thought is to remove the intake, remove the fallen pintle, inspect all for any issues and rebuild with new injectors but the issue now is finding new 19lb units.

this is a parallel thread as to what I had running on Rlist with the following conclusion:
installing 24LB fuel injectors in a unmolested 87 S4 without specific sharktuning would cause issues and the stock 19LB FIs should be used with the 4 hole Ford units giving better spray and added horse power.
hope this helps others pondering same

So dose this mean that we should not install #24 injectors on our cars?

Unless you have the ability to sharktune AND and other power related items (exhaust, cams, etc.) then YES, DO NOT INSTALL 24lb injectors

Im also going to add that if your attempting to any fuel related work on your 928 or any car for that matter you should have a great amount of mechanical experience.
As noted in another thread there can be very severe consequences for fuel related issues.
