Stan you said that the car started but was running rough.
That may be normal for the first 1/2 hour since it has sat for so long.
I would run it with fresh oil and watch the temp.
It may take the rings 20 min to reseat and or the lifters may have leaked down and have air in them (doubt it with the lifters though)
either way if it started I would run it at 1200 rpm, let everything free up and heat up.

on another note;
the stroker list is just like I would have done it except I don't know if I would go ITB due to the extra agrivation.
If I did go ITB I would plum a blower in at the same time.
