Ya 928racer i was looking at the X pipes but i decided that the cost was a bit more then I could handle. with the canadian shipping and exchange and duty i only spent 1/2 of what they would have cost me.
BTW as to keep with the thread post I was looking through those pdf manuals that i downloaded (not sure which forum) and there were lots of specs for most of the years and euro engines Rich. maybe they would be a help. If I find the thread again ILL come back and post a link.

The filter assembly looks nice, I think it is often used when motors have forced induction.

There are several performance benefits to this setup
a) 5 liter vs. 4.5 or 4.7 liter = more displacement = more power
b) Euro top end, as said by others larger valves, larger throttle body, larger intake runners support better airflow = more power
c) Euro cams = better profile for higher RPM power, less low end torque. I really need 3,000 RPM to get power (vs. better low-end on 32 valve motors)
d) Headers/custom exhaust = more power
The car weighs around 2700 lbs, so it is a good bit lighter. All the better for the track, helps the 4 piston Brembos slow down well.
My Euro engine with the improved exhaust puts out similar HP to my GTS, but lacks the low end torque.
