The tool I seem to use more than any other is the telescoping magnetic pick up tool. Rest assured you will drop things in places you can't see much less reach with your hands. I also use it to prevent things from falling where they shouldn't.

928 specific:
engine lock tool
cam timing tool
cam timing belt tension tool (if you dont have a Porkentioner.....why not?.)
vacuum (mityvac) tool w/guage
bigger metric sockets, allan keys and wrenches 27mm -36mm
large torque wrench (or access to rent/borrow)
oil pump to refill auto gbox and diff
large kids swimming pool for draining engine and rad of coolant (no joke)
large oil drain bucket - 12 litre capacity
small hands and lots of patience do help also
engine lock tool

I have the Porkentioner too.
A rotary tool like a Dremel is a great tool to have. I've use mine a ton so far.
