Agreed. There are some tools where a Harbor Freight special is OK, there are some where Craftsman is OK, and there are a few where Proto, SnapOn or Mac is the way to go.

One example is a flare wrench, used to remove/install plumbing fitting on the car. I used Craftsman for years, tried Harbor Freight metrics and tossed them, finally found some Mac wrenches on Craigslist - a world of difference...

Of course, there are also industrial/professional brands of tools that most folks never see such as Williams, Superwrench, etc.

As a 2nd generation body & paint guy, I followed in my dad's footsteps and proudly own Snapon tools for the better part of my collection. I also own a lot of SK stuff and I can not say enough good about either tool maker. A professional tool is a necessity for what I do, and my God, I can not imagine being without them when wrenching on my 928!!!
