I would like your advice on what you did and especially the things you did not do and are now saying I wish I would have changed that while the engine was out! I have saved up $50 dollars U.S. money to complete this project, so you see money is no object!!!
some quick thoughts:
motor mounts
timing belt & tensioners & water pump (review and/or replace)
oil pan gasket
cam cover gaskets
review clutch
clutch "blue" hose
vacuum lines
steering rack mounting bushings
review/replace sensors on motor, under intake, etc.

Thanks, Stan that is just the kind of info, I am hoping to get.

Happy to help, I added the clutch "blue" hose as it is difficult to change with the engine out, nevermind with the engine in.
Of course it is also a great time to clean

Get Roger to send you all of the vaccume lines/vent hoses as well.
remove and clean the oil pump sensor and check valve.
Not sure if your heads have that check ball for the cams that comes loose, you might want to research that.
When the engine is out, is a good time to do head gaskets.
pressure wash the engine bay and wires and repair all the wires that are looking rough and need to be re-taped
I ordered a complete gasket kit and went to town on it replacing all the leakers (oil fill, water bridge, tentioner gaskets, front and rear crank seal)
