Thanks, Martin!

I was able to open and close the sunroof manually and it moved freely and well. I tested the switch and it's giving proper voltage when pressed. I was able to source a used motor for very cheap on rennlist so I'll be putting that in soon :)

As for the drains, I actually just read up on that and think I may have a drainage problem since, as you said, the weather stripping isn't supposed to completely seal.

When you say write-ups, do you mean instructions on how to clean the drains?

I was more referring to the sunroof R&R threads, tho they contain mention of cleaning the drains. Use some stiff weed-wacker/whipper-snipper line to clean the four drains. In my case this worked for three of them, but the passenger front drain was really clogged and at the lower end and I did not want to force it in case I detached the drain hose in the A-pillar. So this awaits me taking off the front fender liner to get at the end of the drain.

Also, I found that the black plastic drain plate that is at the rear of the sunroof, was warped and cracked. You need to remove the sunroof panel to see it. It is supposed to direct leaks at the rear edge to the two rear drains but clearly could not do this. I was originally going to fabricate a replacement, but in the end just bought new. That is not mentioned much in other posts. I think I posted pics in my car blog here.

I guess I should fix my sunroof and check my drains. I always get rained on so my drains must be plugged. Hmmm wonder if that prostrate stuff will help ;)

Took apart a good chunk today :) Got to know her even more and do some cleaning. Found an old nest in there, ugh. I plan to replace all those lines and do some serious degreasing. More pics to come!
