I was pointed to this one by an engineer who said this was his second choice.

He point out this good review of it. I will want the jack plate and caster kit as well.

Seems like it could work well for me, I am a Costco member and could pick it up locally to take off the car trailer at my own pace.

What I looked at when I read this ad was


Spring-loaded safety locks on each column (IMO these can fail compared to the gravity latch locks)

Single safety lock release handle (leaver and button[2 hand] are the standard)

Self-lubricating bearings and cable sleeves (not a plus, grease zerks are a must)

There are a lot of bad points in the review, I wouldn't get it, But

This still may be a good hoist for you Stan, I am just picking it apart for you.

I appreciate you picking it apart. If I can spend a few hundred more and not have any concerns that would be fine with me.

It seems like a good hoist for the money and it is a 1000lbs stronger.

Yes its ALI/ETL Certified and they are going for the OSHA
The Direct-Lift Pro-Park 8 Plus looks like all you would need
Its all up to you now that you have a few good ones to pick from.

Size of garage/hight, weight it will handle and safty, cost last but not least.
