New Member - saying hello

I was looking through the member profiles the other day and it is incredible how many play guitar as a hobby. I have a fender stat, epiphone guibson Less Pauland a couple of acoustics. We could have a hell of a jam session at the next shark gathering.

There are more guitar players these days than EVER as well as some of the best guitars being built by some of the best Luthiers ever! It is a great time to play guitar...nearly as good as it is the time to own a 928, but not quite!

Yes, I do play - I currently play a PRS Mira Maple Top and have an 83 Us Strat in Red w/ white Pickguard and a Peavy Bass. I do love the PRS, and since I am close to MD I go to the factory every year for a fun day of guitars and music. Great to know !

Thanks to Jim, here is my PRS Mira Mapletop.
I play almost every week in our Church praise band. My Amps are an Egnator Rebel 30 combo and Vox AC15, both all tube. I use TC Electronic, Vox, Joe Meek and Meat pedals and currently LOVE Thomastik-Infeld Power-Bright strings (10-45s) - if you have not tried tried them....do it! You can get them online for a decent price at JustStrings.com. Awesome sound (bright) great with effects and are coated with bronze and last a LONG time without deadening your sound like other popular coated strings.

Ok back to business - I got the alignment today yippee! - Donald B Rice Tire in Culpeper Va. They have a pit, were able to get it in spec (except .1 in 2 places) and it cost....ready....69.95. They used to be Rosson and Trollio. Joe Trollio used to be a mechanic on an Indy Car team (he is 90 now) and his daughter helps run the office. Apparently they have decades of experience with alignments and many bring cars from far away to have then done here. They even aligned the Indy and other race cars in the shop (back then). They are the only place my friend can take his Hummer.
So I am happy as a clam and now I can take the "haifische" out for stroll on our local twisty to check it out a little.
