Hi all,
I just joined and wanted to say hello. I could not be more excited and pleased to be the proud owner of a car I have wanted for many years. It just sort of feel into my lap and I knew this was the move to make, it just felt right. I have enjoyed (and used) the forums along with Rennlist and 928Forums and have stated to purchase a few things to get started from some of the vendors posted and referred to in the forums. So far every board or vendor has been friendly and prompt and a pleasure to deal with.
On to the part most of you folks are interested in:
928 - 1983S 4.7L L-jet - Auto - VIN WP0JB0926DS861180 - Model 928910
Bonus - I have the original Window sticker and I scanned it in as well.
Mileage was 97,134 when purchased, fairly normal, especially at the beginning, but I have a few small oil leaks and a small tranny leak. After 2 weeks in the garage I have a few small drip spots. Does not look too major right now, but I fear it will take a lot of work (hours$) to fix them, especially one near the back, these engines are packed in there!
We (my friend/mechanic who sold it to me) have done the usual suspects things (along with the new wiring harness of course, new ground wire and a few other electrical gremlin fixes) like new timing belt, new dist cap, new spark plugs, new coil, new CV boots, 2 new tie-rod ends. The deal was it had to pass inspection (at his cost) before I would buy it.
Ok I think that is quite enough for now......thanks for having a place for me to go to find info, friendship and events, oh yeah, and PARTS
Strat_928
Will put my info/pic etc. in my sig later tonight or tomorrow, will also try to attach the pics I took today

Wow, cool, Nice Buy.
Low milage and the pictures look great.
I know how happy you are as it was not long ago when I got my first 928 Porsche. he he I own a porsche.
Well In a year from now you will still be going, I didn't know that, or what dose this do, or where do I look for the alarm module or something like that.
Enjoy the car as it will be a long project and will not always go as planed.
Put all that great info in you sig and start a profile thread just about the gen thread.
BTW what is you name friend.

Mike,
Looking at your screen name are you a guitar player?
Brad and I both play as well.
I mostly play hand built custom guitars from either Kevin L. Pederson Guitars or Forshage Guitars... been playing my Forshage mostly of late though (VERY ERGONOMIC and sits in my lap PERFECTLY!)
Here are a couple of shots of my current babies:
