Dec 16th Good evening everyone

So, for those of you not part of my FaceBook family:

So, put this in the no good deed goes unpunished file. I went down to my nephew Gavin's Elementary school today because they were talking about Germany...I took my Silver '92 Porsche down there for all the kids to see. So, about 5 min. before I come out to the car with the kids some &*($*##@$ puts a parking ticket on it. YES, my placard is hanging from the rear view mirror...YES, I am in a wheelchair...

The kicker...my Placard has expired... Like SEVEN YEARS AGO! Sure wish my Spinal Cord Injury would just expire! Total BS! Now I am going to have to deal with this crap over the holidays! NICE! On a positive note, I sure did enjoy visiting with the kids and they REALLY liked the car!

I hope you have better luck dealing with that ticket then I have with a few.
I got one parked in front of my house ha ha seems I was not 4 meters from the corner. UMMMM i live on a corner lot and would have to be across my driveway. I did get them to take it back and make a note of it.

BUT! like you said James, Tis the season to BE JOLLY!

It may be hard this year with Deb having to go under the knife.
We find out tomorrow when, then wait to see if she has cancer.

We could use some extra prayer this year.
Sometimes prayer from strangers helps.
Hopefully this summer there will be a lot less strangers and we will get to meet some of yall . .eh

James, that is ridiculous. Hopefully, whoever makes a determination on your case will see it that way too. Every now and then you come across a rational judge. I think I have attended every traffic court in a 50 mile radius. Some go straight by the book and some look at matters on a case by case basis.

Brad, I am so sorry to hear that. I will keep both you and Deb in my thoughts and prayers this holiday season. If she has it, then hopefully it will be caught in the very early stages of its development and they can operate ASAP.

James, Sorry for the hassle, I suspect they will a best chide you for not having an unexpired placard, require it be renewed, and send you on your way.

I can understand how it might happen though, someone sees a 928 parked in a handicapped zone and thinks they have a snobby Porsche owner who thinks they are better and can park wherever they want because they obtained an expired placard somewhere along the line.

Hopefully the ticket was because someone was trying to ensure handicap parking spaces are available to "you" when you need one.

Brad, I will keep both you and Deb in my thoughts, and hope for the best.
