I am starting that long arduous task myself. From what I have read, most OEMs are around 21-22 lbs. If you get 19-20 lbs rims...great. But I would not go above the OEM weight if I could help it. The 16 in slots are growing on me, but if i find the right wheel, I would not mind going to 17 in and maybe 7.5 wide in front and 8-9 wide n the back.

The only problem with that is i am real keen on tire rotation, especially with expensive tires. Different sizes prevent that of course. I wonder how many have issues not rotating? If properly aligned and balanced, I guess could be a moot issue?

have you considered O.Z. wheels....some cool designs and one member had 5 spoke ferrari style wheels that looked really cool...I am considering those my self..

My thoughts on the wheels were to steer out of what most other 928 owners had. I do want to give the car an update but also to make it look a bit more unique. and within a budget.
