steve has it right except 'spacecadets' is probably more appropriate
There was a young man from England who talked about; 'ground control', 'ashes to ashes' but lets not forget 'scary monsters and supercreeps' and the infamous 'Ziggy Stardust'.
Live long and prosper

Brad, up your goal and here is how to reach it!
Devek "White Car" Specs
Many of you have asked for some performance specifications on "the white car". Many of the specs were taken with the Gtech which registers on the first movementof the vehicle vs. dragstrip which has an 18" rollout....BTW, being no drag racer, I "melted" the clutch on these runs..only got to make three runs!
1 smog legal (with cats) and fully registered
2 6.5 liter
3 runs on 92 octane diet
4 205 mph top speed to date (radared at the Big Bend open 7/98)
5 12.38 on gtech for 1/4 mile
6 4.38 on gtech for 0 - 60
7 128.5 on gtech for 1/4 mile speed
8 weight ~3600 with driver and gtech operator
9 hwy mileage ~22 mpg
10 411 hp on dynojet
11 472 ft-lbs torque on same dynojet
12 stock cams and engine management (with DEVEK rising rate reg.)
13 engine has over 30,000 miles and is "perfect", car has 140K and is still the prefereed daily driver and test mule!
The next group of engines that I am going to build will be a series of race engines..... "purpose built" for power and endurance/durability. The above engine will go into a nice daily driver......maybe someones S4 or our GTS. Hmmm, a GTS with over 200 mph capability!!! Now thats a "sleeper".........

Oscar, when was that info on White Zombie and is that car actually STILL running somewhere??? I know Devek is kaput (and totally understand why I might add...) but I didn't know where that car ended up. I was offered that engine but I was thinking $20k tops and they wanted $35k for it! If you tried to build it, I am certain it would have cost $35k! That said, I didn't even have the $20k at the time, but figured if I could steal it for that I'd find the money!!! LOL!
That car is/was a beast.
Isn't the open road racer that has exceeded 210mph (radar confirmed and GPS confirmed) based on that engine??? Maybe with a S/C on it though???

I just wanted to see if the stock engine would spin high enough to out run a camaro or stang if needed.
If not it will stay the way it is . . . for now

I saw the Devek white car in the flesh when visitng San Francisco.....the car was driven by the owners (Marc) wife Susan for the speed record......it was really stripped bare.

They drove White Zombie all the way to TX to visit me and the ASS gang back in '99 I guess it was, maybe even '98. That car was AMAZING! Even more amazing was the car from WA...blanking on the name now... turned 604 on the dyno for OCIC '09 in D/FW! WOW! Also driven all the way down here with no issues!
Some of these highly tuned and very well built engines out there are completely AMAZING!
