I’m looking forward to being part of the 928 OC. Our 928s4 5-speed first appeared in our garage in 1999 and it’s been going well ever since…with a bit of periodic maintenance as all older German cars need! Armed with the full factory shop manual and a microfiche reader, and a good selection of tools from a previous life, all our maintenance is self-inflicted. Most recently the original oil pan gasket was replaced along with the engine mounts for a 2nd time. Ongoing work list items include a mystery belt tension warning above 4000 RPM, new dampers, remote hatch release, and a horn button that doesn’t work only when most needed. Normal stuff for an old car.
I’m an active member of the Pacific Northwest Region of the PCA and enjoy taking the 928 out for club tours along with my wife and our two dogs. And I’m happy to say, ours is not the only 928 around, there are a large number of 928’s in the area and it good to see them when they venture out.
