Much appreciate all the advise, car arrived in San Antonio yesterday, here it is after 1st wash




After much deliberation I have decided to let the folks at Jones Autowerks in San Antonio get the beast started. They cant see it till the second week in November - stand by for updates and more pics

It is really sweet if I say so myself!

Wow amazing find! Looking forward to updates. I just got a 78 that is a driver but needs much basic maintenance. Is that a 78 in Hellblau? Do you have pic of the paint code sticker on the door jam? Mine is also originally hellblau 78 which isn't supposed to be, based on the sales literature.

Great find! When you get a chance, please enter car’s data in the Registry. Looks like it’s a 1979 MY.

Hope all goes well getting it started.
