Hi new member was created by wayneblog
I was turn on by your website by a facebook friend.
I got a all black 1985 928s with a 4S 5.0 and manual gear box.
Big tech guy love the mechanics of the 928.
Got a problem with a leaky tensioner, so the search was on to find information about replacing the belt, water pump, all the little oily bits.
I got the DL on the 87 belt change on this site, now I'm ready to purchase the tools and all the parts need to do a complete service.
Do you have a parts list I can follow so I don't miss anything I need.?
What's the best place to buy them on the web?
What upgrades is best for job?
I appreciate your site and all the info
Thanks
Ed

You might get more help if you posted your technical questions
on the technical forum.
I replaced the belt, WP, Cam Gears, and Tensioner (with a pktensioner) on my '89, Contact Roger at 928Rus and he can let you know (and supply) all of the 'While you're at it" parts and pieces.
You'll have to do some research to decide if you want to replace the tensioner with a pktensioner.
If your '85 is a US model, you can use Ken's cam timer and bumpstick.

Yes thanks for your reply. I'll be contacting Rodger tomorrow to get the tools and the pktensioner too.
I can't wait to get started on it, any question I'll get back to you on the Tech side.
Thanks for the great site

Welcome Wayne! Glad to have you here! Good luck with your upcoming Belt change and keep in mine a new water pump might be in order at the same time since it will be easy to get to while you are in there for the belt!
