Parts Diagrams

I keep seeing pictures of parts diagrams on various threads. The diagrams show every gasket, all the part numbers and are not in the service manuals that came with the 928 from the previous owner.

Where can I find a soucre for the diagrams? Prefer the cheapest source that produces legible versions.

The diagrams usually come from PET - the Porsche electronic parts catalog software. There are instructions on Rennlist as to how to get the software and install it; it's a bit fiddly.

In most cases I use Google. If you enter the part number (which is on most parts) usually a diagram page derived from PET by AutoAtlanta comes up in the search results, or you can enter the part number there directly: www.autoatlanta.com/porsche-parts/928-87...orsche_928_parts.php - you'll note you can click on the pages and zoom in as well.

You can also download a PET catalog for FREE from Porsche.com - believe it or not! It is under the support section. It is in PDF.

Martin, I use the same source when I need to see the PET which is rare. I rather bookmark AutoAtlanta's site to access it vs. storing it as I'm using an old iBook G4 with very limited room for storage.
