Thank You Sir..
It makes sense..
I can't get to it for a few days but will look to see what it takes to pull out the tumbler from the dash.

To the both of You.. Thanks for the good information.
I'm seeing what Rich has sent about pulling the dash apart to get to the Ignition Switch as being above my technical pay grade.
I ws able to pull out my ''63'' Avanti's Ignition but that was a simple 10 minute job. This car is overly complex, so I won't be able to do that.

So I'm left in a quandary of what to do... Have a Shop go at it and get rid of the toggle switch option...or... sell it as an 'Anti Theft" device..
I'm leaning towards the latter.

You see, the Car is going ''Up For Sale"" in a matter of weeks.
The Car has only 56k miles and is in very good shape. It has a few gremlins like a shot sunroof switch and the AC is not working, but overall, the Car is a beauty.
I HATE SELLING IT, but it's a Financial Decision..

So the decision needs made rather quickly...
If someone has interest, I'll let it go for around $34k.. which by the books seems about $6k less that value.

>> I think there is some confusion here.  The instrument pod doesn't have to be removed to access the ignition switch.  It is just easier to visualize where the switch is and how to access it using pictures from the instrument pod removal.  There is a connector cap that fits over the rear of the switch (oriented towards the front of the car).  With the connector cap removed two small flat head screws must be removed, they hold the switch in place.  The difficulty is accessing those screws from the footwell of the driver side.
