Oil Change

I have a 1978 928 and haven't changed oil for a while so when doing so the oil will not drain down from the fill canister to the motor. Seems as though something is blocked. Any suggestions?

As the diagram illustrates, there is a screen (#30a) that may be clogged and is in need of cleaning.  If you remove that the oil should flow into the engine.  If it doesn't there may be a block in the line down to the oil pan.
