Original interior v Pascha - 78 928

I found an original interior black with white pinstripe 78 that needs some small repairs on the drivers seat fabric and vinyl. Questions:
Can the offending section be sewn back in or does the entire middle section need to be replaced. would like to keep original as possible as everything else is completely original and in great shape. 
Would it make sense to put a new pascha interior in the car or does that ruin the originality and thus value of the car. This one is a 5 speed, no sunroof with all tools still bound with the rubber clip, original gas cap key in the plastic bag, rear shade, perfect dash and pod and original paint.

Interestingly Rob Edwards is auctioning a 79 (BAT) where he redid the interior in Pasha....the car is a master class in OB restoration...not sure if this would provide information on your specific question since there are many variables in this equation. As an aside I like the Cork interior better than Pasha.
