87 plug? was created by DHS

Working on the electrical system checking all the grounds on the car. This is on the right side has two wires looks like it is a plug? What is it?

That's the plug for the hood switch alarm that goes off when someone opens your hood after the alarm is activated

OK, thanks, it must be missing some part, I do not see how it would work as is. Would this turn the car off?
