What happens when you overheat a 928? Car ran well until it was overheated now it will not start.

The same thing happens when any engine overheats. All hell breaks loose. You have ruined it my friend .If it is not totally locked up you are lucky

I suggest changing the oil & oil filter first thing as the oil may be burned and no longer lubricate well. If coolant was lost it should be replaced.
Next, determine the cause of the no-start, like any other no-start. Is it no spark, no fuel, no/low compression etc.
Lastly, determine why there was an overheat condition. Were the cooling fans not operating (one fan in-op)? Was the coolant level low/a coolant hose leaking or broken?
