Air Intakes Tubes

Has anyone found a replacement for the OEM plastic air intake tubes?.
Looking at replacing both of mine.
With the cost exceeding $500 for both I thought I would check to see if anyone had found a cheaper yet better alternative?.

What I've done is wrapped my intake tubes in aluminum-coated bubble wrap and metal tape. It seals them up and insulates them from the high engine temperatures and makes the running temperature of the engine drop significantly. Sounds kludgy but it really works!!

I think most people endeavour to keep stock, which is likely why you did not get a reply. On my '88 I found that standard aftermarket air tubes and junctions can be adapted:





I totally would not go with Red if I did it again - black is readily available. The price is a tiny fraction of OE.
