Clutch Duel or Single

Hi,

I just purchased my 1979 Porsche 928 and I need to change clutch right away. After reading up on 928s I see that there is a single clutch and a duel which one is in my car?

I'm almost certain it's dual. I believe they were all dual until the 1987-1995 models which went to the single clutch. In several ways, the dual is superior, but was difficult to service in the field. If not adjusted properly, it could drag.

Where can I buy a kit for a reasonable price .
What you think about this one made by SPEC. When they say kit i'm hoping that it includes all that i need to change my clutch.

Get in touch with Roger Tyson, owner of 928sRUs www.928srus.com (817) 430-2688 He's very reputable and will give you good advice regarding OEM and aftermarket. Note: don't go solely by what's on his website, that's only a partial listing. If it's available from Porsche, he can get it.

Stick with the stock dual clutch for your car unless you are going to race it. All the parts are still available.

Does anyone here use anything than an OEM standard clutch ?
