Directional Problem

When using the right directional there is a rapid flash on the front, and none at the rear. However, if the directional is left on and the car is turned off and the key removed, the right front light stays on, no flashing. Initially I thought is was a bad rear bulb but I checked it and it is good. Where do I start??

I believe all years have a separate fuse for each signal, so perhaps best to start there. 928 Specialists has fuse/relay layouts at their site, if you don't have a manual: 928gt.com/

Thanks for the feedback, I checked the fuses and all are good. With my limited electrical knowledge, since it is a constant light when ignition is off, I assume it must bypass the flasher, or would the flasher only work with the ignition on and thus give a constant light?

You could check Greg's site for tips too:

When you inspected the bulb itself to confirm that it was still good, did you check for voltage on the bulb's electrical socket? Since you said that all of the fuses check out fine I presume that either corrosion inside the socket's connections or a short is your culprit.

Went back and checked for corrosion etc. then I went on and put an ohm meter on the bulb terminals to discover that the flashing, while the blinker is on, is reflected however the volt meter reads zero. Could the power going through the relay be interupted there?
