Engine does not want to start after rebuild-ideas

The reason I asked about the harness in the first place was to find out whether you are using a CPS or the green wire. I would think you would have to have one or the other to tell the ignition when to fire. Since you posted that don't have a green wire, I am to assume that you are using a CPS. But if that is the case, then how are you using the '80 distributor? I am starting to believe you are having a mix and match issue.

Gentlemen- the beast is alive. The culprit - stuck plunger in the CIS fuel distrubuter. I found a local mechanic and he found the sticker plunger. A little work, dry the system out and it started right up. Drained/replaced oil and it starts right up, set the timing and it throttles right up. Putting on the road this weekend. If you need a porsche mechanic in the virginia beach, va area I found one. It took him all of 10 minutes to see it.

Final components, 1984 m22 lower, 1980 m11 heads and cam. CIS injection with Mercedes injectors. No air pump, .005 of the heads, we estimate 10.75, compression 155-165 throughout. New arness, 1980 harmonic, 1980 sprockets for timing belt, 200 amp alt. and jut about everything else.

I hope that you made certain that all of the timing belt components matched - "round-tooth" vs "square-tooth"...
