Robert complained about the instrument cluster lighting before. When I had the cluster out to replace the odometer gear, I noticed that several bulbs were missing and/or burnt out. Thinking that this had to be much of the cause for the lack of visibility, I just replaced the bulbs with standard 2W bulbs from another cluster. Between that and the white gauge faces, I assumed that the lighting would be sufficient.
