1990 GT Passenger Window stuck open

Picked up Motor/Transmission pair (used/tested working) from DCAuto for $90. With overnight delivery it comes out right at the same price as 928Intl's used ones. How hard is it to actually swap the entire thing out together, with the Transmission? Since I can't find a write-up on it, I was hoping to get an answer from someone who has done it.

Ive done it with my NOT small hands. It takes some creative manouvering and I recall the glass being up which I taped in place.

New motor installed. Power applied directly to window motor rolls window up and down successfully. However, window switch doesn't do anything but make the Window Control Unit click like crazy. Replaced the window switch with a brand new one, & get same. Am guessing the Window Control Unit (928 618 040 00) is failing. Anyone ever seen one of these go out? My local mechanic claims he has never seen it in 30+ years of servicing 928s. Unfortunately, I already called DCAutomotive and 928Intl, & neither have one in stock. Anyone have one they want to sell?

I have never heard of this either. It is possible that your sunroof had a leak at some point or the unit otherwise got wet and thus is now fried. Like I said, I have not heard of this before either. You might talk to Hans about his window button kit and see if he has thoughts on how his system might be able to replace what you have w/o breaking the bank...

When I purchased my car, the previous owner had taken the window motor/transmission out and tried to repair it. Needless to say he didn't.
I have a new motor that works but I am unsure how the motor bolts to the bracket. Does anyone have any pictures or something I can reference so I can see how this should look?

FUNNY...my window is stick down since last week,,,,I see you are further along so this is helpful. I get nothing at all and I have new switches too. So I am going into the door myself. But mine is an 83, so I do not think I have what you have.
