Battery Location

I must be losing it but where is the engine battery in a 928 ?
Look throughout engine bay, trunk, and backseat area.

All I want to do is connect my Battery tender to the pos red cable
And ground the black cable to a engine metal area.

Did I miss something today, like new glasses or flashlight.

Any help would be appreciated.

Open rear hatch. Lift up rear cargo carpeting if it is there. On left hand side may be spare tire, below it on the right hand side will be a panel, open that panel to reveal the battery.

No problem, if after 22 years of owning a 928, I can't readily identify the battery location, then senility has set in, so it is a good test
