My 91 has a roof antenna. Thus, no car cover when parked outside in my driveway during the season. Cutting a slit is not an option. The red paint will have to endure the HOT FLORIDA Sun for now. I heavily polished the car again.
My front lawn shade tree helps till around noon.

Brad that is REALLY hard on the antenna. You will eventually break it. I thought they were easy to just unscrew the mast off of the base, but I could be wrong about that... I can't reach them anyway...

To be truth full the first time I took pics of the cover I was told that and I really haven't used it since. But I do remember that I was told to unscrew it first.

So Jerry, unscrew the antenna before you put your cover on and you wont screw the antenna

How's this tip I received and it works great with no extra stress on the Antenna.
I placed a small heavy duty cardboard box with a slit cut out for the antenna wire over the whole unit on the roof and then put the car cover on. Works great.

I was wondering if that is a AM wire or does the antenna cable take care of both AM/FM. The reason I inquire is that thin black wire wasn't connected and my AM reception is poor for my radio.

What is "AM"?

I have a Pioneer head unit with a data bus that allows me to select playlists/songs/artists from my iPod on the head unit itself. After Parti 93.1 shut down, there is no such thing as decent radio in south Florida where I live.
