Big thanks for the rescue!

Just wanted to say a big thanks to George from Houston and James for bailing me out yesterday.

I went from Austin to Houston to bring back my dog that had been staying with a friend there. On the way back, just outside of Houston - disaster struck!

I saw the warning light come on & when I lifted my shades to see which light was on, I was shocked to see all lights on!!!
Pulled over immediately and popped the hood to find I had no belts!
James prompted me to look under the spare & I found a new fan belt from PO (smart man) & George dropped what he was doing to come out with some tools to help me get the belt on so I could make it back home.

This is the beauty of the 928OC, that guys are willing to do whatever it takes to help another owner out.

Towing would have cost me about $450.

This incident prompts me to ask what would you carry in the car as emergency kit? Any comments welcome. May be useful to all of us to see what guys carry just in case.

Wow, Great Story Howard and glad to here that it all turned out for the best.

Now how did James know to look under the spare?

It is a good question as to what one should carry.

I don't even carry my spare because it is a different size = (AMA)

The people are great, the cars are just a bonus to this community. We've had a few people jump in and buy 928's just because they felt they needed one to hang out. Not true, but proof that this community is top notch.

I knew it was there because:

A. I read all my owners manuals (ok, most of them anyway)
B. I actually CLEAN in there.
C. I regularly need batteries because I have so many cars and ALL of my cars have their belts back there!
