Remember when a spy/thief/operative had to momentarily access a key, press it into wax, and then later make a duplicate?

Well it seems that these days you can make an accurate key even from a picture if the following is to be believed: cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...em&item=130489139311

I've ordered one so I'll get to see if this is for real...

If that is our friends are Classic Keys in Australia then it is VERY MUCH for real! They have provided me with several keys (so that I have AT LEAST TWO for every 928) and they have all worked FLAWLESSLY!

It's good to hear the process works James, altho in this case I ordered from 'Express Keys and Lock Services' in the UK. $30 plus shipping. What did you pay for keys from the Australian source?

I was not aware that the keys for cars with alarms ( www.key-men.com/shopping/show_key.php?catnum=HF55P ) are larger than those without ( www.key-men.com/shopping/show_key.php?catnum=HF52P ).

Also it is worth noting the blanks for cars with alarms are out of stock from this Australian supplier. This agrees with what my supplier says. I wonder if there is an impending shortage of blanks for 928s?

I'm thinking these are valuable resources for OC members.

Martin, I think the price was the same... Didn't realize the alarm keys were in short supply...that is not good!

+1 on that, James - I sent a poor photo from my cell phone to them, and they sent me back 2 perfect keys for the 86..
