27?! I guess it is because the most southern part of Canada is that bit around the great lakes that comes very close to MI... I STILL would not have guessed 27!

I did not know that and even looking at the picture find it hard to believe there are 27 states at our most southern tip. Cool trivia

Yeah - when I used to live in New Haven CT neighbours would ask if I was going UP to Canada in my vacation. I'd answer, "No, I'm going OVER to Canada." They'd look blankly at me as I said Canada was due West.

LOL! I bet most if not ALL of Montana and North Dakota are north of the southern most part of Canada! Of course ALL of the NE is! Had never really thought about it before this thread but Canada cows pretty far South!
