I bet you are right James. Stan maybe able to verify this but I have heard of the router holding the cache.

The process James mentions will provide you with a clean reboot of all your hardware. Sometimes there are updates pending that will get applied, other times you will get a different IP address (if you have a dynamic one).

It can never hurt to do so, and in the Windows world, rebooting perhaps once a week is a good idea (at least for how much I use mine).

The Mac world could be very different, but you should definitely be very conscious of making changes, such as you mentioned disabling cache. Some of those type of changes can make a big difference, so you want to track them to be able to back them out. No different than if you were debugging a mechanical automotive problem, tracking changes is critical to staying sane.

Stan, as a web page builder, you really need to get a MacBook Pro. Really!
I have a recording company and use 2 large heavily moded PC to run my recording programs.
I did a recording project, for the city, to record the bands that played during a 2 day festival, I plugged my Mac into the sound board just for fun and the little B$#@erd did a better job then all my top recording gear.

Its a MAC, of COURSE its better! I have ONLY used Macs for my home stuff. Was forced to use a Dell lap top for work back when I was working... What a POS! Hardware and software....it ALL sucked! Big time MAC-A-HOLIC here!

No, Dreamweaver is fine for what I do. I like working with the code, so the GUI stuff usually irritates me as it generates bad code too often.

We use a number of graphic artists, and for the work they do, the Mac still seems preferred.

I have nothing against Macs. I see all computers as tools, some are better at some jobs than others, but similar to the automotive world, knowing how to use the tool is much more important than the tool.

I use Dreamweaver as well(not sure the ver)

BTW rebooting the router worked.
