I think corn should be eaten.
With all is does so poorly, government should not be directing what fuel can, or must be offered.
I now need to add stabilizer to everything that doesn't get used often because of the degradation of gasoline with government mandated additives.

sorry but the american gov and most others, are bought by big oil.
it takes more energy and oil to produce ethanol then it gives, and more pollution to create it then a equal amount of gas in you car.
Its a well proven fact!

I like the thought of using sugar cane, or sugar beats or non-cellulosic products for EtOH but not so much on the corn Ethanol! Even better would be to get bacteria to generate the EtOH for us. EVEN BETTER would be Hydrogen power (if you REALLY want to be green!) and the RIGHT NOW best green is plain and simple diesel fuel. Just look at the record setting trip in the '09 Jetta sedan a couple of old retired folks from Australia did... 67.2 mpg over a 9,000 mile trip! You can get that in ANY hybrid right now! That is a plenty roomy 4 door car too!
Back OT, I FEAR what 15% will do to my cars really! That may be off base, but it still does not thrill me!

This may be a bit hard and will not be a good read for everyone but do to the way the global economy is going, it is food for thought.
