Gas leaking from the tank area. I'm going to drive it to work again to lower the level even though it is going to rain today.

I had the same thing happen to me a little more than a year ago. I found that the rubber hose going from the tank to the fuel pump had cracked and began leaking from there in my case. Luckily I had another good one on hand, so it was an easy fix. It's got a special bend to it so is crucial to use an OE replacement.
