Vredestein tires

Vreds have been around in various configurations for many years,as you cite- including some performance models. For european snows I generally think of Nakoian....
I was chasing a set a couple years ago but had trouble finding a U.S. vendor. Any tips?

Cape Cod? I seem to remember someone who lived part time in West Florida and Cape Cod. Is that you?

Anyway, I buy all my tires online and have them installed by a local tire shop that is happy to do so. If you want exotic tires like the Nokian Hakkapeliitta [Can you tell they are from Finland yet?] you can try www.tirerack.com , or www.discounttire.com . I simply did a web search about tires in the size I wanted and found a place that sold them to me. There are DOZENS of online tire vendors.

THanks. I had trouble hunting down Vredstein retailers online but I'll recheck. I didn't think discount or the 'rack carried 'em. For online, I always check tires-easy / delti.com as well, have had good results particularly if bargain shopping.

I don't do the snowbird thing- have a few years...well, decades...left of work until I could adopt that lifestyle..and actually I probably will still have other constraints at that time. But even if I could, Cape Cod would likely be the southern extent, not the Northern one!
