Need correct emails in the membership roster

Some of you may have noticed that I have been "fishing" for new members in the RL using the latest edition of The Shark Vibes sort of as "bait." It actually has worked a little, I think.

However, one of the byproducts of this expedition over there is to learn that there are perhaps a lot of emails for members that are out of date in the membership roster that we are using to send the Newsletter. The two problems that I have found are that some of the emails are rejecting the Newsletter and some of the emails that are accepting it are out of date, but still active. Those later members have the emails stored somewhere in an old email address, so they think they are being left out.

I am sure that some forces are going to come into play to try to link the update of members' emails from here or the web site to the membership roster, but I am not the one who is going to be doing that. I don't know who is. I hope it is not something that we have to wait on for another volunteer. Even that will only solve part of the problem because I doubt that everyone who changes their email address has the forethought to change it with the OC.

For the ones whose emails rejected the Newsletter, you can contact the Membership Chairman, Jim Willman, and ask him to bring you up to date. Then let me know also the correct email so I can send you the Newsletter.

The second Edition of The Shark Vibes is dated 11-22-12 and was put in the email late on Wednesday the 21st at about 5:36 pm MDST. (That was actually just after midnight GMTon the 22nd, I think.)

Danny, I have you taken care of. It was a misspelling of your email on my part when you first joined that has had you not getting emails. So sorry. I think I have Roger's correct address now too.

PS. Did we ever get the login fixed for those members who were having trouble logging on? The one about what years were 928's sold, produced, manufactured, whatever. I know of at least 2 members who are excluded from logging on because of this.

Anyone having issues logging in should probably get hold of Austin so he can figure out what is holding them back and keeping them blocked. Of course at some point you have to set up your user name and your own p/w so perhaps they have forgotten their own p/w or something. Again that is Austin's world there, he can help them!

I have only heard of this problem in the history of the forum by people who didn't use the correct answer, or by people who had security software on their computer (anti-virus, etc.) that prevented their access. While I believe those people could configure their computers to allow them to answer the question, it took less of my time to manual circumvent the process, so did so.

Ok then, I will have the 2 aforementioned members reatttempt to login. I will keep you aprised.
