Steering Rack replacement

My rack is leaking and would prefer to replace the unit with a rebuild.

I'm looking for a source as well. I called German parts the other day and they said $800 for a rebuild, I said goodbye.

Maybe we could swing a deal on two?

Another option is doing what Murray and I did. We could get parts in the us, and I could pick up its only 40min to the border for me.

I also see a bunch on eBay for about $350 after core charge. But I would still prefer something local.

I'm going to do some more searching next week.

I will report back my findings.

Update:

I think I'm just going to get one from 928 International, $395 and I will pick up in Niagara Falls NY.

I have not found anything else, at least not at a good price. I also don't want to take any chances with the ebay racks just to save $50.

If you are going to order one as well I can pick it up and re-ship it to you if you like.
