This is my first use of the forum, so don't really know what I'm doing, but looking for some help. Have a '78. The previous owner modded the brakes by putting on GTS front calipers/rotors, and 1984 master cylinder (which has a bigger piston for the front brakes). The new master cylinder doesn't have the 2 pressure switches which the '78 used as sensors for the brake lights and brake-failure-warning input to the central warning computer. The PO installed a brake light switch on the pedal and wired it up for brake lights, but did nothing to restore operation of the brake-failure-warning. Also, he cut the brake-failure wire going into the warning computer.
I've looked everywhere I can to find out what sensor(s) was used for brake failure on non-ABS '84 and '85 cars, but can't find a thing. Any ideas where to look?

Wow Gipper, you come in with a bang and a real head scratcher.
Maybe some of the other guys with an old body (OB) can help.
with pictures and step by step with someone that has a car like yours I am sure that it can be fixed up.
It is a shame that is was cut up and not done correctly.
One of the plus sides to joining 928oc
is then you can start your own repair thread and post pictures and get better help that way.
