How do you get the factory radio out of the console in a 1978 928, automatic transmission?

Any assistance would be most appreciated.

Thanks

Hi SD;
if it is the ones with the two holes on each side of the face then insert a bent coat hanger shaped into a U put pressure towards the center on the 2 U tools and pull out on the deck.

Some times one side may release easier then the other and you have to play around.

Take your time and keep your cool as sometimes they dont want to come out :)

Good luck
BTW you should post your name and car in your sig line

Brad

here is a picture of them installed and ready to remove the radio

pulling both toward the center releases the catches, some times, you may have to play. Depth is also critical, somewhere around 3/4 inch or more

That was just a pic off the net. to show the bent coat hanger style tool if you have to holes for them.

You need to post pictures so that we know exactly what you have.
