Hello All,

I am looking at putting on new shocks and springs on my 1984 S and was wondering what the group thinks is a good combination and where you can get the components at a good price :-)

First step is to identify what you seek, such as:
1. A ride like new
2. A ride that will allow more "sporty" driving with some loss of ride comfort.
3. A ride that provides much better driving with a much less ride comfort
4. A ride specific to autocross, canyon driving or track performance, etc.
5. What is your budget, or don't you have one :)

Just my thoughts....

Stan,
What category is a Bilstien/Eibach setup? That's what I have. I'm happy with these but I don't have a comparison.

Quote from another thread;
FYI, the Bilstein/Eibach setup from 928INTL is essentially a new OEM "Sport" suspension, with a slight (sometimes not noticable) increase in spring rates. The shocks are OEM 928 "Sport".

I wasn't sure, but seems like Brad did some research :)

I have Bilstiens/Eibachs on my car......harsh over slow speed bumps but handle very well at high speeds. so much so you start to notice the good or bad tyres you have :)

comparison is to OEM springs and shocks.
