Hi, am proud 1st time Porsche owner. Kids out of college so I finally purchased my dream car- the 928. A few details about me.
Semi-retired USMC. Live in Texas, currently own and drive a 1988 Ford Bronco II 4x4, a 1980 Triumph Spitfire, 1989 Honda Goldwing and soon the King of Cars, a Black 1987 Porsche 928 S-4 with 109,212 miles.
The "shark" is currently undergoing a complete inspection of all items I have read about mentioned in the 928 OC forums. Thrust plate, timing/water pump seals gaskets, etc. It should be completed in about 10 days.
It was a 1 owner California car brought to Texas 9 years ago. The owner is a engineer who has a garage full of toys and this one had not been driven except for inspections and maint for the past 4 years. He added 18" Porsche Carrera rims 8" front, 10" rear, Momo steering wheel and hub, Pioneer CD with iPod and XM radio modules.
I plan on adding the 928 Specialist "Blackbird" intake system (when available) and a cat bypass. The car will not be required to pass emissions since I will be registering it as an antique.
Can anyone help me find the right exhaust system to accomplish this and maybe a few tips. I am looking forward to participating in 928 events and will try to make the "Sharks in the Mountian".
Will post pics once I get her back.

welcome Lon, sounds like your starting off on the right path with your 928.
A great resource for parts close to you in Texas is Roger of 928sRus.com. he should be able to help with your exhaust and other needs.
good to have you aboard

Congrats on the new car Lon.
As Malcolm said, you are in the right state to get lots of 928 parts.
When you get a chance, start a "members car profile" in that thread and post some pictures.
BTW I have a rocket lancher button in my car.
The pictures are in my car profile thread under brads 89.
Thanks for joining our family.

Lon, I want to see pics of the Spitfire!!! I had an '80 in pagent (padgent, pagant, padgant???) blue that I miss so much I just can't even stand it! If I ever find my baby again I am either buying it back or stealing it back!!!
Don't hold your breath on the "black bird" intake... I think that has been in process for 5 years now or something like that??? I think 928sRus sells basically the same thing and has them in stock, but don't get my lying. Frankly I wouldn't do a thing to the intake.
Just get a Rear Muffler Bypass and be happy! That will make the car sound better (but still pretty quiet). You could get the smaller resonators from an '88 or '89 to make it sound even better, but the RMB is a great start and they are cheap! Just reread your post and if you do a cat by pass (ie test pipe) then the large resonators and the RMB should be just about PERFECT! Oh, you will want to do an X-pipe with that as well...

Hi everyone! Thanks for the great welcome! I really appreaciate all the suggestions. Attached are a few pics of my "Spit" Wish Porsche would have made the hood open the way Triumph did for the Spit. Sure would make life so much eaiser on us all!.
Will post picks of the Shark as soon as I get her back.
