Currently the exact car I am after, a brown on brown/tan interior or a Green on tan interior 78 or 79 928. Just joined today, it is a slim community for this car and even more difficult to find a clean example for sale. There are a couple for sale on various sites (car gurus, auto trader, etc..) but they’re either primo prices or the interior is trashed, with difficult paint.
The bonus will be that a large majority of the earlier cars will have that 5 speed, does anyone have any merit or resource of where to look for 928’s? All my Volkswagen and Porsche friends tell me to stay well away from the second bastard child of Porsche (first being the 914) but I am smitten by the 928, and by God, I have a plan to get one in the garage. That isn’t a wagon, or a pit, but a driver. In style.
Funny thing is, that this vehicle’s shaping and lines are what cars will be again, in 15/20 years. Matter of fact, the back end sure does remind me of the vehicle in the newer film “Blade Runner 2045”

Let’s get some engagement here in the forums.
Thanks for the help, for myself, and to the original posters’ concerns, Paul, the best of luck.

I have a 1980 928 with 19k miles, 5sp Pascha interior. Hellblau with brown leather dash and brown/tan Pascha seats. car is gorgeous and just spent 18k getting it back to life after sitting 20 years.

Car is at TPWS shop (Porsche shop) in Austin TX. Email me if interested. Andy Kay put a video of the car on several 928 websites if you belong to any or know him through FB please take a look.

Either selling it there or shipping it to PA in a few weeks and putting on BaT. Will send pics onc contacted.

Regards,

Angelo
