Hi All,

I have an 1979 Porsche 928 which had the oil pan, head gaskets, alternator, engine mounts, clutch, fuel pump, filter, 87 headers installed and I can’t get the engine to run even. I’m looking for someone that could take a look at it and not charge me crazy money and ask me to buy bunch of new parts to see if it fixed the problem. Someone that has 928 or works on 928s will probably be able to make sense out of it all. Car was running nice before the engine was taken out to replace the gaskets. Now I have no leaks but car rpm is all over the place and it jumps on the 2nd, 3rd gear. The original headers had a bunch of vacuum hoses going to it and when I installed 87 all of them were plugged - as per instructions from others online/here. Just like to add that car starts no problem. I’m located in Mahwah NJ, in case someone here is in my area. Thanks. Adam.
